Project Lead AI

You are AI-Savvy and can drive the delivery of projects, have a high level of organizational sensitivity, strong analytical skills and ability to bring planning and structure. You know success comes from execution.  And you know where you're talking about when it comes to ML, GenAI and LLM.

What you are going to do 

As a Projectlead you support the Future Ready workstreams: Data&AI and Digital and Frictionless Journeys (DFJs) in which you work closely together with the program managers Data&AI and DJFs and with the product owner of the Data AI team of Customer & Digital. You will be part of a pool of program managers and projectleads of the Strategy, Finance & Control team of Customer & Digital.

The aim of the workstream is to use Data & AI to maximise business value and become a customer-centric data-driven organization that uses Data & AI to delight our customers, create efficiencies and inspire all data-driven individuals to do the same.  

In order to help develop NN towards a company with more digital and frictionless journeys we are currently looking for a Project Lead within knowledge of AI. As Project Lead you will drive the delivery of projects and leading teams to deliver high impact work.  You will drive adoption of the initiatives by the BU’s and will help ensure successful delivery. You help bring several initiatives such as AI email automation, Agentic AI solutions, Voice GPT.

In order to do so you are responsible for the following activities:

• You are the driver of the Strategic execution with a no-nonsense mentality. You will manage the change agenda and ensure projects are delivering on the planned objectives and value
• You have the responsibility to set the goals and planning to be able to deliver and realize the various projects
• You proactively keep the relevant stakeholders informed in a timely manner about the progress of the various projects and keep them involved in the decision-making process by reporting on OKR’s, progress and KPI’s of strategic projects/initiatives
• Expectations regarding risk and quality are shared and guaranteed and transparent, and escalations regarding the project are addressed in a timely manner
• Support the different project teams with project management activities

Who you are

• You know how to work in an Agile environment where collaboration, and continuous improvements are the foundations. Additionally, you possess: 
• You have at least basic knowledge on key AI concepts such as ML, GenAI and LLM
• You are conceptually strong and have at least HBO working and thinking level;
• You have at least 2 years of experience in supervising and implementing complex projects;
• You have experience / affinity with LEAN and working in an agile working environment;
• You are independent and self organised. You work in a structured, result- and detail-oriented way;
• A proactive attitude. You also easily make contact, you know how to stimulate cooperation and know the importance of alignment and stakeholdermanagement. In addition, you are good at analyzing and you think in terms of solutions;
• You have excellent communication skills, are able to switch at different levels and know how to convincingly involve others in your proposals and schedules.
• Financial skills: the ability to analyse and structure information with strong content focus, deep understanding of the strategy, initiatives and its business cases
• Verbal and written communications skills in Dutch and English.
• A typical challenge in your role is dealing with multiple stakeholders across different BUs.  Vital is that you are flexible, have the ability to gain peoples trust and are service oriented

Who you will work with

Customer & Digital (C&D) connects the Business Units of Nationale-Nederlanden with our joint customer. This means we take care of all generic systems, platforms, capabilities and service desks that are used within NN to service our customer. As an example you can think of the digital client portals, the app, the chatbot-technology which is being further developed and used and the expertise like Research, UX Design and Data Science within the whole company. Strategy, Finance & Control (SFC) is part of C&D.

You will work in the Strategy team of SFC in close interaction with Dutch business units and will be reporting to the Head of Strategy, Finance and Control. The Strategy team is the linking pin and has an orchestrating role towards the Dutch Strategy/ NL workstreams organized across business units and will support strategy execution, decision making processes by proving/monitoring the strategic effectiveness and facilitating a uniform way of working (method, process, consistency, reporting) via PMO capabilities.
