Security Expert – Engineering & Enterprise Tech (E&E Tech)
As a seasoned security expert, you don’t just manage risks—you shape the future of secure digital transformation. With your critical mindset and technical expertise, you empower teams, influence decision-makers, and elevate security maturity across E&E Tech.
Your Role
Engineering & Enterprise Tech (E&E Tech) is one of four Tech divisions within Rabobank’s CITO department. We provide end-to-end IT services and innovation for customers, employees, and engineers—enabling seamless banking, efficient service, and rapid product development. E&E Tech forms the backbone of Rabobank’s IT landscape, covering the full technology stack, supporting both domestic and global operations, and serving a wide range of tribes.
As a Security Expert in the EET TCO Security Office, you’ll serve as a trusted advisor across multiple domains. You’ll analyze threats, assess standards, define requirements, and evaluate solutions to maintain and enhance Rabobank’s information security. Operating from a centralized team within E&E Tech, you’ll collaborate closely with domain security colleagues, ensuring alignment, knowledge sharing, and strategic impact. You’ll be the go-to expert for Tech/Domain Control Officers, and CISO contacts on security matters—driving maturity and cross-domain collaboration.
Are you a critical thinker with a passion for cybersecurity and the ability to translate complex challenges into practical solutions? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where you can influence both strategy and execution? Then we’re looking for you.
What Sets This Role Apart
This is more than a security role—it’s an opportunity to shape the future of cybersecurity across a major tech organization. You will work at the intersection of strategy, engineering, and innovation, combining deep technical knowledge with leadership and influence.
As part of your responsibilities, you’ll explore and assess risks related to emerging technologies, including subjects such as (gen) AI. You’ll help Rabobank stay ahead of evolving cyber risks by translating innovation—both internal and external—into actionable security implementations.
You’ll lead by example, educate teams, and drive meaningful change in how security is understood and implemented. You’ll also help grow our cross-domain security guild, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and shared responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-domain Alignment: Bridge decentralized teams and the central CISO office on standards, high-risk findings, and cyber priorities.
- Security Enablement: Support teams with assessments, design reviews, and translating standards into actionable requirements.
- Security culture building: Participate in and support the E&E Tech security guild, promote best practices, and drive security maturity across domains.
- Advisory Role: Act as a sparring partner for Lead security, decentral security specialists, TCO, DCO and domain security leads on high-risk and strategic topics.
- Security Advocacy: Educate teams on the “why” behind security—not just the “what.”
